Basic Sales and Use Tax Workshop & Return Preparation

This instructor-led workshop walks business owners through the tax basics of owning and operating a business and provides instruction on how to complete a sales and use tax return. Topics discussed are preparing and filing a sales and use tax return, how to support and report exempt sales, what's involved with using a resale certificate, determining what is taxable and nontaxable labor, and how to maintain adequate records. This workshop is presented by the State of California Board of Equalization, District 2.
